PASTRIES:The Greek Pastry Collection available this Christmas from Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church will transport you across the boundaries of land and sea. Once you have tasted these pastries, they will remind you of a testament to the people and periods of cultures alive with romanticism and richness. Every holiday season for 40 years, Greek Pastries, Greek Bread, Tyropita (cheese pies), and Spanakopita (spinach pies) have been sold at Holy Trinity to the people along the Coast of Mississippi. Although we aren't having the International Festival this year, we are proud to again offer a variety of tasty pastries and baked items for sale. You can order different pastries by the box (6 or 12 pieces), along with our special assortment boxes. In recent years we expanded the Greek pastry offerings to include treats from our members' Russian and Ukrainian cultures.ORDERS:It is best to pre-order your pastries. Last year, there were only 3 or 4 unsold items left for walkup purchase on the days of the sale. The Web Order Form method has more current information on available items and therefore is better than using a paper order form. When quantities run out, we will use the date and time the orders were received to determine who gets the remaining pastries. The paper form ordering method below uses pre-printed forms that don't reflect items that have sold out! The paper forms won't be received as quickly as using the web form, so will have later receipt dates/times. ORDER online at PASTRY WEB ORDER FORM (best method)- or - PRINT the Pastry Order Form (pdf file) and mail it to the P.O. Box below, (or give it to a Church member) - or - COME to the Church on one of the days of the sale to see what's still available (but risk the items you want being sold out!). ORDER EARLY – LAST YEAR MANY PASTRY ITEMS SOLD OUT! We will STOP TAKING PRE-ORDERS on the Tuesday evening before the sale! Web pre-orders will be turned off, and any paper orders received after that will be considered walk-up orders, subject to availability! We have limited quantities of various MarketPlace items that will be available on the days of the sale on a first come/first served basis.
There will be no pre-orders of these items.
IMPROVED PICKUP PROCESS! Each year we identify areas for improvement. The pickup process worked well last year
and will be even better this year. We will assemble pre-orders the day before pickup (frozen/refrigerated items still have to be added when
picked up). Order pickups are spaced out over 3 days and will again take place under tents outside, providing a healthy, fresh air environment. | ||
